Trattoria Da Elena Posticciola

Trattoria Da Elena Posticciola

This is the type of Trattoria that belongs to my childwood memories in the 70’s when marketing and image didn’t affect food. Just pure taste of genuine food. Most of the ingredients are bought locally or made here, starting from the fresh home made pasta made by Elena and her son.

For those who are adventurous eaters, I can garantee that this is the best coratella (lamb innerds) still made.

The fresh pasta, whether it is fettuccine, freshly made ravioli, cannelloni with traditional sauces is delicious.

The main course, roast lamb, scaloppine al limone or pork is always good quality and satisfying!

Great value for money!

Posticciola is a very cute village, loved and cherished by its inhabitants and it deserves a little visit with its open farming museum and it’s beautiful little castle. Lost in the woods, 15 minutes on foot there is a beautiful ancient bridge on the Turano river.

The location is what you expect from an old trattoria. No frills, just old style warmth.

The place is very small so I advise booking in advance.

A stop at Elena’s is recommended when touring Turano lake and visiting Castel di Tora village.
Posticciola is 25 minutes away from Torricella in Sabina by car.
